WinGPS Marine offers modern navigational tools that are easy to learn, providing a safe and efficient trip for boaters. One can plot routes by long-pressing on the chart and track their exact location using the onboard GPS. The ability to download up-to-date charts onto your device allows for offline boating. Connecting your AIS via WIFI adds an additional layer of safety by helping prevent potential collisions.

Developed by Stentec, WinGPS Marine is tailored for navigation on various types of vessels including sailing and motor yachts, sloops, and canoes in both sea and inland waters. This makes it ideal for those renting or chartering boats.

<li>Supports waterways for inland charts in Western Europe and Donau, providing bridge, locks, and waterway information for quick route plotting with indications of obstacles. Users will also see the names of waterways and distances during their journey.</li>
<li>Smart labeling ensures clear chart images by preventing text label overlap, even for waterways. This feature guarantees that bridge and lock data remain legible on rotating charts.</li>

<li>Select preferred chart orientation: NorthUp, CourseUp (Marine), or HeadUp (Plus) with the chart moving underneath centered GPS positions.</li>
<li>Benefit from detailed weather predictions using KNMI's Harmoniemodel (Plus, Netherlands only) or NOAA wave predictions at sea (Plus, Worldwide).</li>

The initial installation of WinGPS Marine offers limited functions as WinGPS Marine Lite, suited as a chart viewer with basic GPS support.

IN-APP PURCHASE:

Upon purchasing WinGPS Marine, users unlock the full capabilities of the navigation system. This includes route plotting, GRIB file downloads, saving tracks, and connecting AIS and GPS devices. The upgrade to WinGPS Marine Plus allows for connecting additional board instruments wirelessly to your PC or AIS transponder. It also supports advanced weather models like KNMI's Harmonie and NOAA waves globally.

KUSTFIJN Getijmodel Rijkswaterstaat provides accurate predictions of currents, tides, and water levels in specific regions with red depth lines highlighting safe waterways based on depth, tides, and wind deviations.

CHART COVERAGE & INSTALLATION:

Upon starting WinGPS Marine, users are greeted with ESRI's default topographic chart which can be switched to NOAA charts for the US or a downloadable world chart via the Chart Manager. Digital charts can be purchased at www.stentec.com or through the app directly. Chart installations are allowed on up to 3 devices for convenience across various platforms.

To access purchased DKW2 charts from the Chart Manager, users need to log in with their Stentec Account within the Marine app. These charts include popular series like DKW1800 with weekly BaZ updates and NL Charts with biweekly updates, available in the online shop along with up-to-date sea charts and inland charts of Western Europe including the Donau.
